- I envision a one day seminar running say, from 9 AM to 3 or 4 PM.
- Standish would provide lunch (Pizza, sandwiches, BBQ or ?).
- I’d like to charge a nominal tuition (10-15 bucks, as in my experience, those who pay usually show up). I want to cover the fee for anyone who wants to attend but cannot afford it.
- Standish will compensate the CEF worker for fuel, materials and time.
- Topics such a training could potentially cover could be:
– Effective communication with children.
– Sharing the gospel with children. (Wordless book and other methods).
– Helping children more effectively memorize and understand scripture.
– How to help children with learning disabilities.
– Or other topic(s) that may be beneficial.
A potential benefit I see coming from this would be that (if we get good participation) Janesville Bible Camp, VBS/Basketball Camp, SS, Children’s Church and AWANA staff would be more likely to be on the same page and hopefully, better able to do what we want to do already. And the teachers, children’s workers in our churches would all have a good training and refresher in gospel communication with children. Please think and pray about this and get back to me.
